Challenge definition

A challenge is a way to express needs for skills and/or solutions eto be integrated within an innovative project, as well as added value/risk sharing proposition. The objective is to find partners or off-the-shelf solutions to improve an existing product/service or to develop new ones.

People with accurate knowledge/skills or solutions (so-called contributors) will answer the challenge. Best contributions will be selected and rewarded according to initial rewarding process.

Summary

Needs are summarized in a clear sentence understandable within the targeted field.

Description

An explicit description of the Builder, what he/she is looking for in terms of technical characteristics, skills or knowledge.

Files can also be added to the description.

Categories

Categories are attached to the challenge in order to match the content with accurate members. those members will receive an email notification about the creation of the challenge.

Duration

The challenge will last a predefined time. Usually the duration depends on challenge complexity.

Possible rewards

What contributors can earn participating to the challenge.

Challenge Launch

The challenge is launched by Planetinnov staff after complete quality validation by a consultant (writing, targeting, rewards).

Challenge proactive Communication

Subscribed members who indicated their interest in categories related to the challenge are notified by email about the challenge creation. All visitors can view the challenge summary. However, they need to register in order to get access to challenge details. Visitors and members can forward the challenge to their network.

Planetinnov can also (optionally) seek for accurate Contributors on identified communities and social networks worldwide.

Answers to the challenge

People with accurate knowledge/skills or solutions need to register in order to get access to challenge details and answer. Contributors can modify their answers until the challenge is closed.

The builder and Planetinnov staff are the only people who get access to answers.

Challenge's answers management

Once the challenge is launched, the builder can manage the answers in his account area.

The Builder commits on exploiting provided answers.

Exchanges on the challenge

Although answers are directed from Contributors to the Builder, it may be useful for the Contributors to exchenage information amongst themselves and with the Builder. To achieve this, all involved participants can use the mini-forum available on the challenge page.

End of the challenge – Contributor(s)' selection

Once the challenge is closed answers are analyzed, and the best Contributors are contacted in order to reward them. The Contributors ID is highlighted within the challenge description.
